“Live a life you want to live, focusing on what really matters”
Her sister remained stoic through her battle with cancer and never let on just how sick she was. Death came as a shock she could not believe and life became surreal, opening up new perspective she had not pondered, that inspired her to speak up and make a difference. “It took time to cope and adjust and begin to question what is the meaning of life and I slowly began to shift to what mattered…we are all connected. We are one humanity. We are one planet. We are privileged to share in each other’s journey.”
Rima’s Journey Through Art
Liz's Symbolic Interpretation
Sisters Forever: Rima’s journey was about helping her sister when she was struggling in her last stages of breast cancer, Rima was there not only helping her sister but taking care of her daughters.
Self Art Expression
Family Tree: When Rima painted her tree, it represented her family growing from seeds to roots to branches. Just like life in what we need to grow, the tree needs air, water, soil and sun. Large and small butterflies represent her family especially her sister with her transformation from pain to a higher ethereal beingness.
Liz’s Final Interpretation
Burning Inspiration: My conclusion to Rima’s story inspired me to feel the intensity of the sun on a background of passionate red representing love. Love burns onward and never dies.
